Getting started

First, use the map to locate benches, which heal you and act as respawn points. Benches are essential, so mark them early and often. Additionally, the map points out Bellways for fast travel and vendors that trade items for rosary beads, which you’ll need to buy upgrades and supplies.

For new players, the map also ties into beginner resources: walkthrough links, basic tips, and locations for core upgrades like shell shards and ability pickups. Thus, you can plan a route that prioritizes survival and progression.

Interactive Map

The interactive map contains filtered categories so you can toggle what you see. For example, you can show or hide: Benches, Bellways, Chapels, Wishboards, Vendors, Quests, Bosses and more. Consequently, it becomes easier to find exactly what you need without clutter.

Furthermore, the map includes a general overview and zoomed-in icons for specific items and NPCs. It’s presented as an ongoing work in progress and will receive more updates as new locations are discovered.

Where to find…

The map lists a long set of collectible and helpful items: rosary beads, shell shards, crests, mask shards, craftmetal, spool fragments, abilities, and tools like the Cogfly. In addition, it marks quest items, mementos, and memory lockets so you can track completion progress.

Because the world is dense, the map can also point you toward shortcut doors, NPCs, wishboard locations, and Bellhome decorations. That way, you can link objectives and reduce backtracking.

Unlocking benches and new areas

Some benches and zones require specific actions or items to unlock. For instance, the map highlights how to reach the Hunter’s March and Sinner’s Road benches. It also notes routes through environmental hazards like The Mist and how to access hidden areas in the Far Fields.

Moreover, the map records special traversal points and shortcuts that let you reopen previously blocked paths. Thus, once you find an access route, mark it so you can return quickly.

Wishes (side quests)

The interactive map includes the locations for Wishboards and many wish quests. It lists steps and NPCs for quests such as Berry Picking, Flexile Spines, the Twisted Bud series, Great Taste of Pharloom, and Liquid Lacquer. Consequently, it’s useful for tracking multi-step deliveries and phased quests.

Additionally, the map flags where to pick up and turn in quest items, which helps when you’re juggling multiple wishlines at once.

Bosses

The map marks boss arenas and expected boss locations, including encounters like Bell Beast, Moorwing, Sister Splinter, Fourth Chorus, Widow, and the Last Judge. Therefore, you can scout routes to and from boss rooms and check nearby benches before attempting a fight.

In short, the map helps with preparation by showing nearby healing points, vendors, and shortcuts so you can plan retries more efficiently.

Collectibles and tools

Finally, the map catalogs a wide range of collectibles: craftmetal, spool fragments, mask shards, memory lockets, silk hearts, relics, and more. It also notes where to find tools like the Cogfly and entries for items such as Pale Oil and Void Masses.

Because the icons were reduced in size during the Sept. 25 update, the map now shows more items at once without overwhelming the view. As a result, it’s easier to plan runs that combine exploration, upgrades, and questing.

Overall, the Hollow Knight: Silksong interactive map is a practical, evolving tool for navigating Pharloom. Use it to locate key upgrades, track quests, and reduce needless backtracking — and remember that it will receive further refinements as more discoveries are made.
