Paradox Interactive and Haemimont Games have announced Surviving Mars: Relaunched, an updated and expanded edition of 2018’s city builder. The Relaunched version bundles the original game with its full catalog of DLC, adds a new Martian Assembly update with political mechanics and factions, and brings upgraded visuals and a redesigned UI to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

What’s included

Relaunched collects the original Surviving Mars together with its entire DLC catalog — that means major expansions, smaller packs, cosmetics, radio stations, and more. In addition, Haemimont is including an all-new Martian Assembly update that introduces colony factions and a political layer to colony management.

New mechanics and expansions

The Martian Assembly adds a political mechanic and social systems. Specifically, Paradox says: “colonists will adopt agendas and personal demands, allowing players to shape the society of their colonies’ future.” You can establish laws and policies, push for independence from Earth, and manage competing factions.

Moreover, Relaunched includes notable add-ons from the original run: Space Race (compete with other colonies), Project Laika (introduce animal life), and Green Planet (terraforming tools), together with the rest of the major and minor expansions. The package also brings expanded modding tools for creators.

Visuals, UI and core gameplay

The core game remains the same: colonize Mars and build a self-sustaining society in a harsh environment. However, Relaunched promises improved visuals and a redesigned user interface to modernize the presentation and make colony management clearer.
