What the program provides
Starlight’s Gaming Stations are mobile carts designed for use in hospitals. Each cart comes with a Nintendo Switch, a Pro Controller, and two Joy‑Cons, and it is built to be easy to sanitize between uses. In addition, the stations are mobile so staff can wheel them to patients who cannot leave their rooms.
Games included
The stations arrive with 25 pre‑loaded titles. For example, they include Nintendo staples like Mario Kart 8 and Super Mario Party, as well as indie titles such as Stardew Valley and Cuphead. This selection is intended to offer a range of single‑player and multiplayer experiences.
Fundraising and matching details
Gaming 4 Good’s community goal is $25,000. Valnet has committed to match donations dollar‑for‑dollar up to that goal, which would create a total of $50,000 for Starlight. According to the campaign, every $5,000 raised funds another Gaming Station for a hospital.
Current contributions
To start the campaign, Gaming 4 Good received a $5,000 donation from Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp LLP (MSK) and $2,500 from Index Exchange. These amounts count toward the $25,000 community goal.
Why the program targets hospitals
There are more than 3 million pediatric hospitalizations in the United States each year. Some stays are short, while others can last weeks or months. Because hospital time can disrupt normal routines, Starlight and its partners aim to offer play options that feel familiar and help children stay connected.
How to donate
If you want to contribute, the campaign accepts donations through Valnet’s campaign page. In addition, Gaming 4 Good says that Valnet will match donations up to the $25,000 target.
