The Fantastic Four: First Steps Is Coming to Disney+ — Here’s When to Expect It (Likely November)

The Fantastic Four: First Steps is leaving theaters and heading to home platforms over the fall, with specific dates already set for digital rental, physical discs, and an expected window for Disney Plus.
Box office performance
The film opened in theaters on July 25 and saw a second-weekend drop of 66%. This follows weaker theatrical runs for some other recent Marvel releases.
Digital rental and purchase
For viewers who want the movie at home sooner, The Fantastic Four: First Steps will be available to rent or buy on VOD platforms on Sept. 23. That includes stores such as Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV and Fandango at Home, and the film is available to preorder for $29.99.
Blu-ray, DVD and 4K
The 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD editions arrive on Oct. 14. The physical release lists several extras.
Included are a gag reel, a featurette on creating the Fantastic Four, and audio commentary from director Matt Shakman and production designer Kasra Farahani. In addition, the disc set contains five deleted scenes, such as the Fantastic Four Day celebration and extended time in Subterranea. Amazon will offer an exclusive SteelBook edition that comes with collectible cards and a comic tie‑in.
Disney Plus streaming window
Disney owns Marvel Studios, so Disney Plus is set to be the film’s streaming home. Looking at recent Marvel windows provides a basis for timing.
For example, Thunderbolts arrived on Disney Plus on Aug. 27, about three months after its May 2 theatrical release. Similarly, Captain America: Brave New World hit Disney Plus on May 28, following its Feb. 14 debut. Therefore, based on those recent patterns, The Fantastic Four: First Steps is expected to arrive on Disney Plus in November.
