How to get a pet in Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar
Ramon visits your farm in early Summer and introduces pets, explaining their role. At that point you can choose either a cat or a dog as your first pet. Cats help herd small animals like chickens, and dogs herd larger animals such as cows and sheep.
After you get your first pet, you can adopt additional pets from Ramon’s stall; prices vary depending on the animal and the type on display. The in-game Pet Show itself takes place on Summer 3, so plan accordingly.
How to train your pet in Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar
The only way to start training a dog or cat is with a pet treat. To train, equip the treat in your hand, then interact with your pet to begin a training session.
You can buy pet treats from Miguel’s general store or his bazaar stall on Saturdays for 397g each. Alternatively, and more cheaply, you can craft a pet treat at your windmill using soybeans and any fish. Once you have a treat equipped, talk to your pet to open the training minigame.

The training screen asks you to press the correct buttons so the pet performs tricks like sitting, lying down, or barking. Be careful: you can train a pet only once per day, and mistakes will affect the session. Keep practicing each day to prepare for the Pet Show trophy.
