Getting started with Daisy’s riddles

To kick off the riddle hunt, talk to Daisy once you spot an exclamation mark over her head. This usually happens early in the Bywater Village Campaign during Act 1: Become a Local. You’ll often find her near Willow’s Workshop, just southeast of your Hobbit hole. When you chat, mention she “looks a bit puzzled” and offer to help with her first riddle. The riddle will then appear under the Discoveries tab in your Tales Log.

From there, your job is to find the location described in the riddle. When you get close, silver sparkles will mark the spot. Interact with them and Daisy will appear to wrap up the quest.

Daisy’s first riddle solution

The first riddle goes: “In the eye of the lake, there stands a tree. And in its roots, you’ll find what you seek.” At first, you might think of the small islands north of the Village Square, but the answer is much simpler — and closer to home.

Head to the small pond just south of Willow’s Workshop and Cotton Farm. Cross the flat rocks in the water to reach a tree stump in the middle of the pond. Interact with it, and that’s your first riddle solved.

Daisy’s second riddle solution

The second riddle unlocks during Act 2: Become a Village, but only after you’ve completed the first one. It reads:

“In the heart of the forest, it calls. Where the river doesn’t run, it falls. Where the water doesn’t babble, it roars.”

Sounds like a waterfall, right? The tricky part is that there are several waterfalls in the forest east of Bywater. The correct one is located in the southeastern corner of the map, just east of the Tree Root Pool. Look for a small white bridge near a large waterfall — that’s your spot.
