Trilobite Fossil Locations

Note: The game itself doesn’t number the fossils, but here’s a handy list for organization.

  • Trilobite #1 (Sublayer 300): From the Longneck Plateau Village tuning fork, turn around and enter the gap with three crockoids. Use DK’s Hand Slap to break down the wall with posters and grab the fossil.
  • Trilobite #2 (Sublayer 300): Inside the Stuff Shop next to the Longneck Plateau Village tuning fork.
  • Trilobite #3 (Sublayer 300): Facing the Big-Stretch Base getaway, head right to the area’s edge, drop a few levels, and climb the stairs inside to find this fossil.
  • Trilobite #4 (Sublayer 300): Behind the Warp Gong, near a cylindrical platform with a Constructone. The fossil is on the wall beside it.
  • Trilobite #5 (Sublayer 300): At the top of the Grumpy Kong statue’s head in Big-Stretch Peak.
  • Trilobite #6 (Sublayer 301): While riding the first minecart in Sublayer 301, look right to spot a trilobite clinging to a small wall.
  • Trilobite #7 (Sublayer 301): From the Banandium Refinery Staff Dorms tuning fork, proceed to the area’s end. The fossil sits on the ground next to a triangular challenge door.
  • Trilobite #8 (Sublayer 300): Buried near a Battle Challenge in Neckreach Smokestack Exit. Dig around the metal layer and break surrounding rocks to find an opening where the fossil lies.
  • Trilobite #9 (Sublayer 300): On Click-Clack Smokestack’s rotating platforms, drop from the dirt platform to find a clogged door below. Smash through the dirt to reveal the fossil.
  • Trilobite #10 (Sublayer 300): At the top of Click-Clack Smokestack Roof, watch for a rotating concrete plate. Use your radar and the Kong Bananza power to break the plate and collect the fossil.

Triceratops Fossil Location

There’s only one triceratops fossil in the Canyon Layer. You’ll find it midway through the first minecart ride in Sublayer 301. As you ride, you’ll pass a giant triceratops skull—shoot it enough times to claim the fossil.
