Extended Lures and Special Pokémon
One of the coolest features this time is that lures last for a full hour instead of the usual 30 minutes. When you use a Lure Module during the event, you’ll attract a set of specific Pokémon more frequently. These include:
- Jigglypuff
- Lotad
- Kricketot
- Chatot
- Audino
- Noibat
- Popplio
Plus, there’s an increased chance to find shiny Chatot in the wild, which is exciting since Chatot is normally a regional Pokémon. So, if you’ve been hunting for that shiny, now’s a great time to try!
Field Research and Spinda Variations
Spinning PokéStops during the event might give you a task to make five great curveballs in a row, rewarding you with a Spinda encounter. There are eight different Spinda patterns available to catch this time. Even if you’ve completed this task before, it’s worth doing again to collect more Spinda variations. Keep in mind, though, that the ninth Spinda with a heart-shaped marking won’t be available during this event.
