The Conjuring: Last Rites will be available to rent or buy digitally on Oct. 7, and physical copies arrive later in November. Below you’ll find exact dates, what’s included, and what we know about streaming.

1. Digital release and extras
2. Blu-ray, 4K and DVD
3. When it may hit HBO Max (streaming)

Digital release and extras

Confirmed: Warner Bros. has set the digital release date for The Conjuring: Last Rites for Oct. 7. From that date you can rent or buy the film on major services such as Amazon Prime Video, AppleTV and Fandango at Home.

Also confirmed: the digital release includes three featurettes — “Last Rites: An Era Ends” (8:45), “The Conjuring: Crafting Scares” (8:40) and “Michael Chaves: Believer” (7:04). In addition, a four-film Conjuring collection and a nine-film Conjuring Universe collection will be available on digital services the same day.

Blu-ray, 4K and DVD

The physical release is scheduled for Nov. 25. On that date Warner Bros. will release The Conjuring: Last Rites on 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD. The 4K and Blu-ray editions will include the same featurettes listed with the digital release. The four-film Conjuring collection will also be offered on Blu-ray and DVD on Nov. 25.

When it may hit HBO Max (streaming)

Warner Bros. owns HBO Max, but the studio has not announced an exact HBO Max date for The Conjuring: Last Rites. No official streaming date has been confirmed yet.

However, Warner Bros. films often arrive on HBO Max several weeks after their theatrical runs. For context, recent Warner-distributed horror titles followed similar timing: one film made its streaming debut on July 4 (roughly two-and-a-half months after theaters) and another reached HBO Max around six to seven weeks after its retail release (theatrical May 16, physical July 22, HBO Max Aug. 1). Therefore, December is a commonly mentioned target month for films with a September theatrical bow, but again — that is not an official date.

Summary of confirmed dates:

  • Theatrical release: Sept. 5 (already in theaters)
  • Digital rental/purchase: Oct. 7 (includes three featurettes)
  • 4K/Blu-ray/DVD: Nov. 25 (4K and Blu-ray include featurettes)
  • HBO Max streaming: Not officially announced (past patterns suggest a possible December window)
