Game Description

We Are The Dwarves, also known as We Are The Dwarves: Tactical Adventure RPG, puts you in charge of three dwarf heroes each with unique skills. It’s a mix of action, strategy, and RPG elements where timing and planning matter just as much as quick reflexes. Ever wanted to pause a fight, catch your breath, and figure out your next move? This game lets you do exactly that.

What’s the Gameplay Like?

You switch between Forcer, Smashfist, and Shadow, each bringing a different style to the fight. Forcer shoots from afar, Smashfist loves to get up close, and Shadow prefers sneaky surprise attacks. The catch? You have to juggle their strengths and cooldowns, so button mashing won’t cut it.

The active pause system is a neat twist. It lets you freeze action to issue orders or rethink your strategy without stressing your trigger finger. Pretty helpful when enemies start working together or sniff you out—lesson learned: always carry a spare sword.

Why Give It a Shot?

Need a challenge? You got it. This game demands both fast thinking and tactical planning. It’s a bit like playing chess, but with explosions and pickaxes. Plus, each dwarf levels up separately, making your playstyle matter. The AI actually communicates, so expect some surprises.

Key Features

  • Three unique dwarves with distinct skills and playstyles
  • Active pause system to plan your moves carefully
  • Strategic combat that mixes action and tactics
  • RPG elements with character leveling and customization
  • Enemy AI that adapts and coordinates

Anything Else?

The story isn’t over the top, but it sets the mood: dwarves are running out of light and need to survive. Controls are straightforward, though the learning curve comes from managing your team well. If you like strategy with some real-time action and don’t mind occasional trial and error, this might be worth your time.

In a sea of hack-and-slash games, We Are The Dwarves stakes out its own little niche. Not perfect, but it knows how to keep you thinking and on your toes.
